Hi, there! I am Latif Anshori Kurniawan. I am researcher and lecturer at Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia (Indonesian Language Educational Department)—Progdi PBSI, Fakultas Pendidikan Bahasa dan Seni (Art and Language Faculty), Universitas PGRI Semarang (University of PGRI Semarang)—UPGRIS.
I research and teach mostly about Indonesian (language, Bahasa Indonesia). I have specialization on language teaching, measurements & evaluations, language educational research methodology, and Statistical analysis in social & humaniora studies. I also enjoy to teach Indonesian for foreigners in Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) class.
Previously, I was part of Progdi’s PBSI scientific journal team, an editor in chief for Sasindo. Then, I moved to watch the progress of the institution’s journals.
I stand still to teach Indonesian in our beloved campus, even accross departments. And currently, I am part of Pusat Hilirisasi Penelitian dan Inkubator Bisnis (Downstream Researches and Startups Incubation Center)—under LPPM UPGRIS.
In free times, I enjoy use Linux-based kernel system on a daily basis. For more than a decade, I use several Free/Libre & Open-Source Software (FLOSS) products. I contribute a little piece of open-source projects, exclusively KDE. Really commit with open-source spirits—in Allah’s Hand, I believe in beauty of sharing & openness. Then, I created Kelompok Studi Linux (KSL).
If you have any further questions and/or need to know more about Indonesian deeply (and-if you are a nonnative speaker or just a professional who want to improve communication skills), want to get in touch with us to publish your articles on our online journals, or even build several nice collaborations in researches and events, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
You can read my other personal stories in Indonesian fully on Latif.id. Several my official social media accounts provided there.
Hopefully, you can get any benefits from this blog. Thanks for visiting.
Best wishes and warm regards,
